Shahre Ghalam Publishing started its work as a publisher of children and adolescent books in 1379, but with the studies we had on the needs of Iranian audiences, we started designing, writing and producing books under the age of five on our agenda since 1392, but The publication of books under the age of five had issues and problems, to overcome which we provided the necessary technical facilities and set up a special workshop.
In the beginning, few publishers in Iran produced shear, magnet and touch books and the like. The facilities and technology for the production of such books were not fully available, but we at Shahre Ghalam Publishing House were eager to design, compile, illustrate and produce books with a global style and quality for Iranian children.
This enthusiasm led us to become a book producer ourselves, and by examining the works and publishing mechanisms in developed countries, we established a specialized bookbinder, and the Shahre Ghalam under-five book project, along with other children and adolescent books, was key.
Of course, this was just the beginning. From then on, with a greater focus on authored works, we provided the opportunity for new experiences, and continued to work by inviting prominent writers and illustrators, old and young, and unique constructions, while trying to provide the best quality at the most reasonable price to our readers. In the collection of books of the best Iranian writers, as its title suggests, prominent and accomplished writers and illustrators came together and created lasting works.
The literature of the 5 continents also includes translations of adolescent novels from various countries, from Japan to Russia. Introducing these works gives the child and adolescent reader the opportunity to look at issues from a different perspective.
