Ecoiffier

ONCE UPON A TIME …
 
The Ecoiffier company was created in 1945 by Mr. Albert Ecoiffier in Bellignat, a small village in the Ain, in the heart of what was to become the plastic valley. At that time its main activity was the manufacture of celluloid articles for fairground shootings.

His children, Jacques and Eliane Ecoiffier join him in the company and refocus the activity on the manufacture of plastic toys.

In 1994, the company was acquired by Smoby, one of the toy leaders in France, who will keep the founder's son, Jacques Ecoiffier, in his managerial role.

Later his two daughters, Stéphanie and Julie, join the company to ensure product development and Marketing direction.

 
In 2008, following the safeguard plan implemented against the Smoby Group, Smoby was taken over by the Simba Dickie Group. The company Ecoiffier Père et Fils is bought by Jacques Ecoiffier and his daughters and becomes Toys Ecoiffier.

In 2010, Jouet Ecoiffier inaugurated its logistics center in Veyziat (12000m²) on a 6 hectare site, dedicated to the expansion of the company.
Toys Ecoiffier is one of the last French manufacturers to ensure all of its production in France both on a family and regional basis.

Established in Ain with a permanent workforce of 49 employees, the company directly and indirectly employs nearly 350 people (in companies and work assistance centers).

Indeed, the proximity of its suppliers allows Ecoiffier Toys reactivity and flexibility which are its strength.

In a sector where the omnipresence of Made In China products is well established, Toys Ecoiffier is distinguished by a modern French design, a choice of colors directly influenced by the latest trends and a manufacturing quality guaranteeing safety, all offered at affordable prices.
Respect for the environment occupies a central place in our company, which is a member of the “Eco Emballage” and “Der Grüne Punkt” programs.

We recycle our waste, our packaging is made from recycled cardboard and printed with natural inks. Finally, having recourse to regional companies limits our carbon impact.
